2008-07-04

The Brampton Lions will make a visit to Lamport Stadium on Friday night to take on Portugal FC.

The third place Brampton Lions make their one and only visit to Lamport Stadium this season to take on Portugal FC. The return fixture between these two clubs will take place at Victoria Park on Sunday September 7.

Portugal FC (4-4-2) vs. Brampton Lions FC (4-4-4)

The Brampton Lions will be looking to get back into second position in the National Division as they enter Friday night's game with 16 points and in third position. The Lions are coming off a 1-1 draw at the hands of league-best Trois Rivieres Attak. Portugal FC is also coming off a fixture against the Attak, however Portugal FC was unable to get a result, dropping a 1-0 decision at Lamport Stadium last Friday night. Both teams will be looking to rebound this weekend with a victory.

Last season, it was Portugal FC that controlled this matchup, posting a 2-0-1 record against the Lions. In those fixtures, Portugal FC were able to post 2-1 and 5-2 victories over the Lions with the lone draw coming with a 2-2 scoreline.

Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 8:00pm at Lamport Stadium. For tickets call 905-564-4660 or contact tickets@portugalfc.ca
